This truly left me speechless -- all I could do was take a picture to document the ~~stupidity~~ oxymoron at it's finest...

Since it is Speechless Sunday I will forego the canola oil lecture; however, stay tuned as to why you should avoid it like the plague.

It begins with educating yourself on the matter, so feel free to read up on how canola oil used to be called rapeseed but was changed for marketing reasons. It truly is a classic example of food fraud.

You might want to read up on oils in general, too. Learn how toxic rapeseed and other low-grade oils with additives are being passed off as olive oil... Is the olive oil you purchase, safe?

Inspirations for cold(er) weather...

Only the Lord knows the future, and with that I know I shouldn't worry or feel insecure. As I grow in my walk with the Lord, I'm learning to surrender it all to Him on a daily basis. My family and I are still praying without ceasing with faith and hope for His will. With that being said, it looks as if He is taking us to the Emerald City (no, not Oz).

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

The secret of contentment is leaning on God's grace...

Speechless Sunday #7

I can't even begin to count how many breathtaking rainbows we have had lately. I realize it has been a rainy tropical paradise the past couple weeks, but these beautiful gifts from the Lord illustrate He is listening, and is with us. I literally gasp when I see His promise in the sky, and my iPhone just doesn't give it justice. We have literally been in the rainbow and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so much beauty in this very uncomfortable and insecure time.

One of many!!

It's been a tough couple weeks, and I appreciate the love, support, and continued prayer from everyone! I realize I have been vague as to what exactly is going on, but that is partly because I don't even really know what's going either! I also find it hard to write and publish the possibilities, and don't want to hypothesize anyway! I hope to report ecstatically good news soon -- until then, we pray! And boy do we pray. My family and I strongly believe in the power of prayer, and we definitely believe in Jesus' healing miracles and have faith in His will. We want Him to flex His healing muscles and glorify His name!

While I am eager for answers to questions, I know everything is on His time, not my time. So I surrender it all, and walk by faith.

What encouragement! You are never the victim of nature or the prey of fate. Chance is eliminated. You are more than a weather vane whipped about by the winds of fortune. Would God truly abandon you to the whims of drug-crazed thieves, greedy corporate raiders, or evil leaders? Perish the thought!

You live beneath the protective palm of a sovereign King who superintends every circumstance of your life, and delights in doing you good.

Remember this. Nothing comes your way that has not first passed through the filter of God’s love.

I have so much to be thankful for, my heart aches attempting to thank Jesus for all He blesses me with. I truly am the daughter of a King, so blessed--I lift my hands to the Heavens... I don't ever want to be caught taking advantage of these blessings He provides, even for a second, because I know in a blink of an eye, everything can change.

I could probably listen to this song on repeat, all day. Another blessing..

I think I come from a long line of worriers. I worry all the time. I worry about things in and out of my control, and consciously try to always give it all to Jesus.

Back in July I read and wrote a review for Max Lucado's book, Fearless and I couldn't rave enough about it. I strongly recommend everyone read this book as it will apply to you in endless ways, even if you're not a worrywart.
