Happy Independence Day!
Also known as the Fourth of July in America commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
Guys, the 4th of July is one of my FAVORITE holidays simply because of the beautiful fireworks. I love the vibe associated with the holiday, too. Everyone is stoked to celebrate Independence Day, it is definitely a day to celebrate being thankful for our freedom.
In Hawai'i, every weekend is already filled with BBQ's, picnics, concerts, family gatherings, etc. so it's pretty standard for us to go over the top with parades and fireworks so everyone knows it's a special holiday;)
But this year I'm not home in the Islands... I'm in our second home, or more commonly known as our ninth island: VEGAS!
The boyfriend and I snuck over to Sin City and have been embracing the city that never sleeps since Friday... Now that it's Monday, we've already celebrated Independence Day twice, and viewed images quite like these...

Fourth of July - Vegas Style |
My first time celebrating July 4th in Vegas was of course a spontaneous flight (day of), only to find out by my Bellagio front desk agent that they (The Strip) had already celebrated. Say what? How you going to celebrate the 4th of July on the 3rd? I'm confused.
Fret not children... if you ever find yourself in this predicament, just know that Lake Las Vegas puts on a phenomenal firework show on the 4th of July!
The best plan of attack is to do what the bf and I have done... arrive on the 1st and party on The Strip through the night of the 3rd. Pool parties by day, Club rages by night, not to mention the amazing firework display from Old Town all the way down the Strip...
On the 4th of July, sneak off to Lake Las Vegas. Ravella at Lake Las Vegas is the former Ritz-Carlton and is absolutely beautiful. Spend the day out there or at Loews, by rejuvenating yourself at the spa, and depending on how much rejuvenating you need, finish the day poolside or shopping 'till you drop--or at least until dinner. Remember, it's Happy Hour every hour here in Vegas, so make sure to eat a good meal from time to time;)
Alright friends.. this was supposed to be a quick note to wish you all a very happy and safe Independence Day!
