Bridge Street in Huntsville, AL

On Friday, the boyfriend and I decided to get into the holiday spirit by stopping by Bridge Street (adjacent to the Westin in Huntsville) for their Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony...

Typically Iʻm not into ANYTHING Christmas until at the very least; December 1st; however, this was something Iʻve been wanting to do for years since moving away from home. The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua ousts EVERYONE, literally, no one can do it better--but Iʻll take what I can get since I wonʻt be home until the 3rd week of December this year. ..
We got their just before 5PM as did almost everyone else. .. and aside from some technical difficulties, it was a very nice event! They had hot chocolate, cookies, stew, and of course all the stores were open, too, for the wandering souls like my boyfriend who was pretty antsy until they finally lit the tree at 6PM.

One thing I forgot, was this wine tasting I had read about. It sounded very fun and I think it was hosted by Vintage Wine. .. Oh well.. Next year;)

We ended up front and center at a nice table outside of the Smokehouse Restaurant with a perfect view of this huge Christmas tree, and loved to people watch. Our meals were fantastic as well, in all honesty, this spontaneous trip couldnʻt have been better!

After people watching and enjoying our meal at our perfect table we meandered around the excitement. I got some pictures of the Christmas Tree. ..discovered some fake snow, and on our way out saw Santa!! Overall? Success!
If you missed this event, definitely try to go next year... but stop by Bridge Street--the treeʻs  still there and it gets dark around 4:30PM now so youʻre set! ;)
